I have posted previously how our mini-lop, Munch, likes to chase the cat. We’ve all been living together for a few weeks now and I’ve noticed something. Callie, the cat, has taken to laying on a kitchen chair as her spot to be Munch-free. Her food bowl is in the kitchen and she will basically chill on the chair if he is out and about. Now I see that he will go in the kitchen and sit under the chair while she is on it. At first I thought it was an intimidation tactic. But I see now, if I get up in the middle of the night for something, that they are often in this position. She will be sleeping and he will just be hanging out. Could this be a bit of bonding on his part? Is he trying to be close to her?

He might be intimidating her, daring her to come down. When she jumps down, does he persue chase?

She does not jump down if he is there or if she can hear he is out.
