My Tansy is still a baby, but I was wondering how much activity/running around is normal.

Her cage door is open to her x-pen from 8am – 3pm and then when I get home at 11:30pm I let her run around for another hour.

She runs around for about 30 mins in the morning – binkies, jumping and chewing.  Then she goes into her cage and eats and sleeps for the rest of the morning and afternoon.  She isn’t interested in getting out of her cage and she puts up with a few nose pets, but then she will jump into her litter box and go to sleep.

When I get home at night she is super happy and lovey – crawling into my lap and binkying on my legs , but then after an hour she wants to get into her cage and go back to sleep.

Is this normal?  She isn’t getting her 4 hours of run around time – even though the door is open and she could if she wanted to.

Very normal. Rabbits are most active at dawn and dusk in the wild. Our domestic pets follow this timetable to a degree. They’ll often sleep the day away. You may even notice she’ll do that even more once she’s an adult.
3-4 hours exercise time is not really exercise as in they are moving all the time. It’s more so they can be stimulated by different environment and be able to stretch out and move about more freely than the can do caged.

Yep, totally normal. I’m lucky if my guy actually moves around for an hour a day. I’ve also found that it’s normal for them to want pets only in the evening. My bun is out in the morning, and will take treats and interact, but he is so not interested in snuggles. In the evening, however, he’s a snuggle machine.
