So I have been trying to get Finnegan accustomed to Loki’s scent by leaving a stuffed animal in Loki’s area, and then leaving it in Finn’s area. Well Finnegan hates when I do that, to put it lightly lol.

So I did it again today, and Finnegan’s usual antics ensued. He hopped around thumping for a while after sniffing the stuffed elephant. But after a while, Finnegan started chinning it (rubbing his scent on it I assume). But then he started digging/licking/what appeared to be grooming it, and has now been laying next to it and on it for the last hour or so.

Is this positive improvement? Or is it a sign of stress? I have never had a rabbit as high strung as Finnegan before, so I am sorry if these sound like dumb questions

I’m still just trying to work in the direction of Finnegan not thumping at me after I am in contact with Loki, and was wondering if this could be a positive start

It sounds like a positive sign to me! I never got mine to interact with stuffies at all, they just ignored them, but I would say moving on from thumping to grooming is a good thing! Have you swapped any litter trays yet?

Sirius- I haven’t swapped litter trays because Finnegan’s bathroom is a store bought cage in is area and Loki uses a litter box. So I am still figuring out how to work that out, lol. Maybe I will buy a spare litter box and put it in Finn’s run.. Idk yet haha

You could always just put bits of soiled litter in each other’s litter trays if swapping the actual trays isn’t possible.
