he gets around 1/3. he doesnt seem to even eat half of it? im still in the process of transitioning him to timothy based pellets. i got him around 2 days ago and he isnt eating his pellets, am i a tad worried.
also should i feed him a lot of veggies in the morning? or give him half the serving amount in the morning and the other half in the afternoon when i get back from school? i dont want to give him his pellets right after i give him his veggies because he might not be hungry. he is around 5-6 months. he eats his veggies just fine but just like sticker bunny’s rabbit; he doesnt eat them in one serving. in the mornings he eats most of it right away (or so ive heard my mom say) but in the afternoon he eats some and then naps and then eats some more and etc.
and yes whenever i clean out his litter box i throw out the old pee contaminated hay and get fresh hay. although i dont really think its “fresh” because its not in a bag or anything… i mean it IS in a HUGE plastic bag but it isnt big enough for me to close it at the end. its dry but i think its “stale” since its not in a box or anything.. i dont know.. its bermuda hay and he doesnt seem to like it too much. i have some timothy hay but he doesnt really like that either. he probably eats half a handful of timothy hay in 1 day. (i stuffed timothy hay in a toilet paper tube and he finished it this afternoon and i gave it to him yesterday right after 2pm) and i am EXTREMELY allergic to timothy, meadow, and oat grass. but i guess i could some of those timothy hay cubes? do rabbits like those?
