hey guys so i’ve been wanting to make a dig box for my bun, and i made one using shredded paper  and cardboard but he doesn’t seem interested in it. And i saw this pin on pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/pin/174796029266670035/ , but I’m not really comfortable its completely safe.. But i have been thinking of making it with soil, like a digging box made of soil, because i’ve seen people using it for their bunnies but i’m not sure what soil is 100% safe for them? What are your guys’ thoughts on soil dig box? Is it really safe for them? Any feedback would help! Thanks

I have seen pictures of the soil digging boxes too. You would have to make sure that the soil didn’t contain any fertilizers or additives and was just plain soil. I assume that plain soil would be safe. I don’t know if there is a better kind or brand or not.

I think you can get products called “garden soil” that are just the soil, without any fertilizers or anything, that would be the way to go. You could also use childrens play sand, however they wouldn’t actually be able to burrow, just dig.
