          Hi, and welcome!

what kind of bedding is this? Material, brand? I am not familiar with it. If it makes her rabbit sneeze it is a sign she and you should not use it.

            I agree with Petzy.
I don’t use anything scented as I am allergic and have found bunnies too are very sensitive, it’s best not to test it and just stick to natural unscented products.

I also agree. I’ve seen the scented beddings, but since the unscented and natural types are less expensive, I would not try the scented. I’m allergic too.
My rule of thumb is “when in doubt, don’t.”

                Eh.

We’ve had some threads before about a rabbit litter than was lavendar scented, and I think it’s “safe”, but most of us wouldn’t use it due to the sensitivity issues with rabbits.

If your friend changes the litter back and the sneezing continues, she should have the rabbit evaluated by her vet.

If there is an issue with stinkiness in the litterboxes, and all rabbits involved are spay/neutered, it may be that the boxes are not getting changed frequently enough, or there is still some residue.  A white vinegar/water mixture is awesome for disinfecting boxes.

Isn’t there actually a litter brand that makes lavender, mint or rose scented litter?? I forget the name of the brand…

I tried this with Hatter because it came with his litter box but he refused to go into it. *Stupid Mommy* Now I just use Natural Carefresh and newspaper liner. I change out his litter every other day. I have found that with just scooping away the soiled litter he will still tend to make a “poo mess” if I don’t change it completely. And, what his majesty wants, his majesty gets!
