In the near future I’m getting a bunny. I was just at Tractor Supply Co. And bought a bag of Producer’s Pride rabbit food. For a rabbit at about 9 weeks of age, do you think it will be safe/healthy? Thanks.

No problem with the wrong forum, I’ll move it over in a moment

In regards to the brand of food, is it safe? Yes. Is it healthy? No. From what I’ve just quickly read online, the first ingredient is processed grains. Ideally you want the first ingredient of the pellet to be a grass hay. Also something with a higher fibre level would be better too.

So while obviously it can be fed, as many people do, it’s not something that I would feed.
