        Hello!
I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but the search option looks to be off right now.

We are new to having a bunny. We found that he LOVES apple tree branches, and I think he will eat our entire tree at this rate, LOL.

My parents have apple trees that were sprayed with pesticides over a year ago. What I would like to know is, would the new growth be safe for our bunny? New branches, twigs, buds and leaves that have only grown in AFTER the tree was sprayed a year ago?

Let me know what you think! Thank you!!

New growth is just fine. The sprays won’t affect it. Most likely, after a whole year, the spray has washed off of the entire tree.

It depends on what the tree was sprayed with. Some pesticides are short-lived, while others have a long residual presence.

Some systemic pesticides can last a long time. They’re is taken up into the tree, so it’s not washed off by rain. If you know what pesticide was used, you can look up what type it is. How long systemic pesticides remain in the plants’ system will vary.
