Explain your situation in detail. (Please explain what is going on, include details from the beginning of the illness leading up to now)

This morning when I fed him his lettuce, he didn’t eat very much of it and only ate when prompted to. However, he acted normal (flopping, running around, etc.) throughout the morning and afternoon, so he doesn’t seem sick at all. We know the symptoms of GI stasis because he has had it before and this doesn’t seem like the case here. He ate hay and pooped and seemed to just be chilling like he normally does.

Into the afternoon, he still didn’t finish his lettuce. However, he’s still acting normal so we tried to see if he would eat his pellets. He ate his pellets per usual and seemed to be doing everything normally besides the fact that he didn’t really want to eat his lettuce. We think that he might just be bored of this lettuce because it is pretty much the only type of leafy green that we feed him, besides the occasional parsley.

I think that the solution is just to provide a more nutritionally complete diet that has more variety in vegetables. He has had GI stasis before, and his symptoms did not show up today, so I don’t think he has GI stasis. It just feels like he is bored of his lettuce. Does this seem like the case to you guys?

        Let me know! Thanks!

He could be bored with it. Or it could be not very tasty lettuce. I know sometimes lettuce can be bitter. Try giving him some parsley since he’s had that before and see if he eats that with no issue.
