My bun (Baxter) is 3 months old. We’ve only had him for 3 weeks. He isn’t affraid of me or my kids but he is a little cautious of them as they do try and pick him up sometimes. Anyway, he is in his play pen and was just laying there calm (maybe bored?) My girls came is and were excited and talking a little loud (this he is used to and it never phases him).  They sat around his play yard and he immediatly jumps and starts running around. He has tubes and little kitty house in there to hide in but he didn’t. He was just running through his tubes and all around the cage. I don’t know if he was scared or excited. I have never really seem him play with toys and I don’t think he has ever done a binky. What do you think?

Oh, the way he was running wasn’t as if he was running away. He would run and then quickly turn around over and over again.

I think he was putting on a show. He really loves the attention doesn’t he?! If he was scared he may run like this but look more “frantic’. You can see in their eyes sometimes. He would find a safe spot and hide away.

I mentioned in another of your threads that they can have times where they are more active.  Some rabbits like to do the Bunny 500, where they tear around the house.  Often short bursts of energy /stop for a second/ then take off again. It’s pretty entertaining.

I was wondering! It really didn’t look like he was scared but I have never seen him act like that. He does the short sudden bursts of energy when I let him out. One minute he will be all over the place and the next, he is out of it. He is showing more interest in activity now so we will see.

my boyfriend and i started calling our bunny ‘the spazz’ because she’ll get these random times where there’s wind in her tail – as my mother says
and she’ll run around the house like a freaking maniac! not scared but more of a hyper thing lol!
