Congratulations on the kitten! I introduced all the bunnies by keeping them cages and letting the cats get used to the bunny scent. For Jessica, the more skittish of all the buns I’ve had, I kept a covered box in her cage so she could hide from the cats as needed. Eventually, I opened Jess’s cage door and allowed her to come out when she was ready. My husband and I supervised the visit.
At times my youngest, Wolfy (7 yrs old) gets excited when Jess starts hopping around like a goof ball. He has been known to chase her, but he often tires b/f she does! Sometimes Jess gets a butt thumping if she intrudes on any of the cat’s personal space, but I haven’t had much of a problem.
B/c your kitten is so young, and possibly smaller than your bun, kitten will likely let the bunny rule and be head mammal. Just make sure to give equal love and pets to both beasts. Kitten should be ok w/ the bunny and will learn quickly that the bun won’t tolerate alot of kitten crap! My husband and I sometimes lay on the floor to facilitate the love b/t bunny and cats.
I have 4 cats, 1 bunny, and a gecko…oh and a husband! Good Luck!
