Interesting Rabbit Textbook

If you are a nerd like me, I like to go to Barnes and Nobles Booksellers and sit and read random things. Since lulla’s infection today, she was pretty much tuckered out and I left her at home with her daddy for some bonding time. AKA: She was sleeping and he was deeply involved in a senseless video game.

I looked through some vetrinary books when I came across the "Textbook of Rabbit Medicine" by Frances Harcourt-Brown. I flipped through it and read some things about what was going on with lullabelle and I found it to be very interesting. It was $140, but I think I may look around on discount textbook sites (being in college you become a pro at this !) to see if I can get it fairly cheap. I think it may become useful around the house.

Unfortunently, the book was technical and was written in vetrinary language (thank god for 5 years of anatomy !) and it would be hard to understand if you don’t have some basic knowelege of antaomy. But there were also several other books on bunny heath and medicine that werent so technical, and I would reccomend going and checking some of the books out if you have time, I found them to be a good read, but like i said, Nerd.

Another good book on the subject is called Rabbit Health in the 21st century. I don’t own it but have heard a lot of good things about it. I think it also discusses a lot of health issues, but in terms that most people can understand.

xnovalentine  I don’t know if you know about this link, but I LOVE it. It checks all the different places that sells a book and lists them in order of prices and it’s always cheaper than any other search site.

The Francis Harcourt one is excellent – many vets use this as a reference.

I love the “Rabbit Health in the 21st Century” too by Kathy Smith – this is written for us the rabbit owner. I highly recommend this one for any rabbit owner.

No Problamo! I love that site, it’s nice to have a wish list and when you want to check on a book you click “update” and it will get newer prices to see if it’s gone down in price! I think my wish list is like 5 pages long!lol. I hear a good book I just add it so when I want to get it, it’s in there already in case I forgot the name of it 😛
