  I have a 3 month old biting holland lop. She attacks me for no apparent reason. I will spend time with her, pet her and then she turns around and bites me to draw blood. At first I thought that I was just petting her in a way that she does not like but now ive noticed it is completely intentional and it has nothing to do with petting. She will come to me,I pet her…she bites me really hard, runs away,comes back and unexpectedly bites me again when I pet her. I am now afraid of her and ive tried spraying her with water,yelling NO loudly and putting her back in her room to let her know its not okay but she is still doing it. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. She is just plain mean…even if I squeal loudly she turns around and bites AGAIN and she also randomly bites my legs. I sat on my bed and she jumped up and bit me in my back for NO REASON!!!! is she being passive aggressive? is she trying to punish me? is it hormones kicking in? territorial? Please help!!!!! She has toys,a large room to play in,everything a bun could dream of so whats wrong??

  Odds are that she’s hormonal. Spaying when she’s old enough will help. It also sounds like it happens when you are petting her. Don’t pet her. I know it’s hard because she’s so cute, but biting and nipping is a bunny’sway to communicate, and if she bites you when you pet her, you shluld just stop trying. Let her come to you on her terms, and don’t instantly pet. Not every bunny enjpys pets. Just lay with her and spend time with her without petting. Stop spraying her with water. It will teach her to fear you, not that it’s not okay to bite. Bunnies don’t know they are being punished or what they are beinf punished for.

  Rabbits aren’t intentionally malicious. They literally cannot be intentionally mean.
  
  Maybe she doesn’t like being pet, or having you in her space. She’s probably also starting to be hormonal. If you give a high pitched squeal when she bites you she’ll learn that it’s hurting you. Spraying her with water and shouting won’t achieve anything other than showing her she’s right to be scared of you.
