  Hey everyone! I was just wondering what you think of us community leaders scheduling time to be in the chat room and any other ideas or input you might have. While Binky Bunny may be a bit busy right now with site updates and all, I know I could easily log on while I am checking the board. What do you all think?

  That would be great, but I do understand the time difference between your time and mine would be hard to juggle chat time.

  That’s a good idea!!
  I was also thinking that maybe we can have more video tutorials. The articles regarding the basic info about rabbits can be hard to understand in words. It could be a lot easier as a video clip. But then, it would be a lot more work and would require someone to be very creative.

  I would love it. I am sure despite all the time zones, there would always be people around. I think the mods would have the hardest time, trying to keep up with the various time zones.

  Cool! O.K. so here is what I’ll do, I’ll just start by logging into the chat feature every time I am on the board answering posts, I know there are a lot of you on here at the same time. : ) We’ll just see what works out and then I’ll post the times I am consistently there so you can see if that works for you. Generally I am the board my scheduled days, Mon., Wed. & Fri. from about 5 pm to 6 pm then 7 pm until about 8:30 or 9:00 pm. I am also here but sporadically on my “off” days. But my word, I love this board and am here all time LOL. I am such an addict. Anyway…
  
  Now I have a few questions:
  
  What demonstrations specifically would you like videos of? While Binky Bunny is the video master, I have a digital camera that does short clips I can put together as well. I am willing to do it, just some specifics would be cool and I’ll get started on it.
  
  Time zones – What would help you figure out what everyone’s time zone is? The time is posted above each reply.
  
  Would it help to have a dependable feature telling you who is online or is it easier for you to just check the chat feature peiodically?

  Both ways would work. I also think it would be helpful to see who is in the chatroom or a number of people who are in there. If I saw someone was in there, I might venter in too.

  i think maybe basics for videos clips - things that new bunny parents seem to ask the most like nail clipping, grooming and general handling of buns. plus bunny behaviour examples. one video i found very enlightening was only a few seconds long youtube that i think markus just posted a link to recently… it was a bunny grunting. until i heard that i didn’t know that was the noise people talked about when they referred to grunting. lol. obviously it would be hard to plan to capture those things in video, but with so many people here with cameras & video capability perhaps its possible to collect a few nice examples of different behaviours that are easy to access when explaining something in a post or for people who browse here to learn. lol. i think i’m getting overly excited about an idea that other people would have to do a lot of work to put together. oops. thats not very polite is it?

  Just like babybunsmum said, things like…
  picking up/holding a bun, clipping nails, cleaning scent glands (I need this!!), bath…..
  sexing a bun, what it looks like before/after spay/neuter…. ( is this too personal for the buns??)
  
  So far, I haven’t seen any rescue groups or adaption centers with video tutorials. If this comes through, it might also be nice to put on websites of rescue groups. Like Bunny Haven!! The thing with bunny is that the resources and information is limited compared to dogs or cats.
