Ok ,so I do have bunny experience with litter training and I do realize that each bun is different but what can I do now?? My bun is going on 4 months, I’ve had him at home for a week now and have been trying to get him to use his litter box, which has not been easy. I realize he is young and yes his testies have descended but any other bun I’ve had, I was able to litter train in about 3 days except him. He is peeing everywhere but the box, as a matter of fact he has made his box his bed and boy does he really stretch out in it. He makes it look so cozy I want to get in it.
You should see him slam himself down (bunny flop) real good. I even got it on tape so I will try to get it on here at another time, it’s cute to watch. I know buns do that sometimes and I am sure when he gets bigger it will not be as comfortable for him and he will probably stop, especially after he starts to use it for its purpose and that’s pee and poo. Right??
I’m hoping that anyways. He is in a 42inch dog crate so there is plenty of room and I have started to let him out in a very small place but for only minutes at a time here and there. What can I do? I put litter in the box (yesterday’s news) and hay. I’ve tried moving the box to where he’s urinated at but then he goes somewhere else. I’ve been putting all his poo droppings in his litter but nothing seems to help. Does anyone think he will get it eventually??? In my area he can not get neutured until he is 6 months old so on that note, there is nothing that be done. So can someone tell me what else I could try??
