I was hanging with my bf, Ricky, while Stormy was out for his run time. I was using words like “Binky” and “Zoom”. Ricky was like “are those actual, scientific terms or did you just make them up?” I thought it would be fun to list some terms for bunny actions. Some are universal, some I made up. Feel free to add to the list any I’ve missed or some you’ve made up. Post pics of the actions if you have some!
* Zoom (bunny sprint)
* Binky
* Bunny Flop (one second bunny is standing, then flat out relax mode)
* The Stink Eye (you will experience this evil look after administering meds, trimming nails, etc)
* The Bear Rug (bunny lounging with front and back legs outstretched)
* The Helicopter (crazy ear position, most common among Holland Lops)
* The Disapproval (see examples at http://www.disapprovingrabbits.com)
* The Chinning (action used to claim any and all items laying about)
* The Statue (bunny freezes with ears up, listening to impending threat like sirens outside or barking on tv)
* The Bunch (bunny does this with socks or tshirts left on the floor, reason unknown)
* The Wiggle (tail wiggles rapidly, usually upon being chased by the human, similar to a child sticking his tongue out, very bratty)
* The Stretch/Yawn Combo (my personal fave, very hard to catch on camera)
Variations of the Classic Binky:
* The Twisty Binky (bunny lands in opposite pre-Binky position)
* The Standstill or “Popcorn” Binky (highly adorable)
* The Double or Triple Binky (only very talented buns can pull this off)
