              I use Ginger tablets when I travel.  Also fresh ginger is great for tummy problems and indigestion, bloating etc.

              I use a slice of fresh ginger, pop into some hot water and cool … then drink … its wonderful.

              Dawn xx

                Hey if we all ate like rabbits we would be wicked healthy. Veggies and fiber. I should start the new million dollar diet fad “the bunny diet” (p.s. If you steal my idea I”LL KNOW, lol)

                  For some reason I’m thinking about the Simpsons episode where Krusty the Klown takes the kiddie campers to “the happiest place on Earth…Tijuana!”
                  Guess they didn’t animate the scene right afterwards where Krusty pops a papaya tablet…

                      Beka I am so jealous! Also, be sure to check with your Dr. on any vaccinations they may recommend before you go. Someone I know was given a series of pills to take to prevent something but I am not sure what it was (it was an anti-malaria drug).

                      Have you ever been there before? If not check out here;

                        I spent 3 weeks in Russia a few years ago. Same deal w/ water-absolutely can’t drink it. I took a prescription of Flagyl from my family doctor w/ me just in case I ate/drank something I shouldn’t. Ended up one of the nurses who went w/ us didn’t take a prescription with her and she got deathly ill while we were there. I ended up getting sick the day we came home so I fortunately suffered at home and Flagyl did the trick.

                        If you are close to your family doctor and tell them you are traveling and fear getting sick they should give you a “just in case” script for Flagyl or something like that.

                        I wouldn’t worry about anything else though in Mexico. Just dron’t drink the water- which INCLUDES not rinsing your mouth out with tap water-people tend to forget that. Buy plenty of bottled water for things like that.

                          Also includes any fresh fruit or vegetables which may have water on them or have been washed in water! And on the way home, the plane was filled in the city you are leaving from, so the don’t eat fruits or veggies (fresh) applies here too; If your staying at a resort that has a seperate water system, then your find to eat the fruits/veggies there.

                          I’ve been to Mexico and Cuba and never had any problem at all !

                            oh yea and to avoid the expense of bottled water you can have boiled water! I spent a semester in China and they use boiled water for everything. the house-keeper people would fill our big 1960s era metal jugs up every day. *sigh* making me nostalgic lol.

                                ok, fly with your flip flops in your carry-on and wear clothes that are OK for when you leave but can also be Ok when you land (for instance a skirt, or pants that have the bottom leg part come off to turn into shorts; and a sleevelesstop with a jacket you can take off). Usually you leave in the snow, but you land in HEAT and the airport (at least the ones I was in) is not air conditioned and you get off the plane on the runway sooo you want to be able to be in hot weather clothes right away! Also fly with some snack food (like peanuts or chips) so that when you get to your resort you can snack; you might arrive when their resturaunts are closed, so to avoid being hungry bring somehting with you!
