  Hi! I just want to introduce myself. I’m new here and a relatively new bunny mom. I have two buns, Sophie and Simon. I have had Sophie for 6 weeks now and Simon for 1 day! This forum helped me name Simon! Sophie is 10 months old and Simon is 9 months old. Here are some pictures, Sophie is the Holland Lop and Simon is the Lion Head!

  I love the picts, what cuties. I was wondering what do you use for the bottom of their Condo( the blue thing, is that coroplast)?

  That is coroplast. I used it the first couple weeks I had Sophie until I knew her litter habits were good. It’s great for training because it is so easy to clean. Now Simon has the coroplast in his cage. The only problem is it is slippery, so the buns don’t like it much, so I switch to carpet once the litter habits are good, but you can always just lay a towel down or something to keep them from slipping. I lucked out with Sophie, she makes absolutely no mess in her cage, so I don’t need a tray for her. It’s still too early to tell with Simon, if he kicks litter and hay around, then I’ll keep the tray when I put them together to contain the mess.

  Simon is just a great name. Simon & Sophie – so cute. Sophie looks a little like Edson. So it sounds like you had an easy time bonding these two! You are very very lucky!

  What sweet bunnies I always am jealous of people that have bunnies that actually sleep in their beds. My bunnies just take those beds and either pee in them, or flip them over and start pulling the seams out…*sigh* hahaha

  I haven’t bonded them yet. They are in seperate cages in the same room right now, and we have had several bonding sessions and they are doing great! The only problem I forsee is Sophie seems a lot more interested in Simon than Simon is in Sophie, so Sophie is irritating him because she’s always right beside him. So, he nipped at her once to make her go away, but that was it, so I think we are going to be ok. Simon is more of an exporer than Sophie, I don’t think he’s going to be interested in bonding with her until he feels everything has been sufficiently explored.

  Ah, well it sounds like it will be fairly easy as no fur is flying! Simon is probably too new in the household to be interested in anything else than exploring his new digs!
