  He’s really starting to come around to liking us! I am so excited!!! Since we’ve gotten home he hasn’t really wanted to be petted, he’d tolerate it if he was cornered but he didn’t really like it and he never sought it out. Well, after cleaning their cages today and my hay war with Drue he’s been a lot more personable. I don’t know what it is but it’s like a switch has been flipped with him! He’s been coming over to me a lot this morning and presenting himself for nose rubs and he’s been playing with his toys with me. I was laying on the floor and the kids had left some legos over there..the big giant toddler sized ones..and I put them up in a tower and Drue knocked them over. I’d put them back up and he would come back over and knock them over. I thought that I was annoying him so I stopped putting them up and he actually nudged them over to me! He was playing a game. So sweet. He’s even been letting me pet him while he’s completely flopped out and it doesn’t seem to spook him. I’m so glad he’s coming around. It’s been easier today because it’s our “weekend” so Mike and I both have off and Mike was able to sit in the kitchen with Tucker and I was able to sit in the dining room/pen area with Drue and vice versa. I’m just glad he’s starting to like us..I was a bit worried for a while that his long stay in the shelter had made him not want people around.

  it sounds like he is coming around. i wonder what triggered this? either way, CONGRATS!Such a great feeling!

  The only time Maryann showed any real affection towards me (as in sought me out and gave me kisses) was when we first started going on bunny blind dates. I think she wanted to let me know that she did love me and didn’t want me to give her up.

  that’s so sweet! i love it. and i’m kinda jealous, 4 months later and Max is still a little nervous around us. it might have to do with the bonding immediately. i didn’t bond with his separately beforehand. but i’m not giving up hope… he adores Michael. he will let Michael pet him when he’s totally flopped out like that.
  
  i’d love a video of the lego thing, do you have a camera?
