Im Hooked! I love my bunny boy!

Omg i was just so excited i had to come and post! I rushed upstairs today after school today to visit with Hammer, and got him out for playtime while i watched tv and had a snack. Well any way he was extra interested in me today. He is about three months and ive had him a little over one month. He had never shown much interest in me other then the veggie bringer and the nose rubber. But today he did! I laid on the floor on my back and Hammer came over to investagate. I was a good bunny slave and rubbed his nose and he actually stayed and licked me! Then he LAID DOWN with me! His side against my ear and his head and front paws on my shoulder! I was so happy! he stayed there for about 25 min. with the occasional nose rub followed by a lick. I am so excited ive earned his respect and trust, i really feel like ive accomplished something! My mom just thought I was crazy for being SO excited but i know you guys will understand lol. She said “Elizabeth, he is JUST a rabbit.” Cant believe she said that huh? I was like he is SO MUCH MORE then just a rabbit. anyways i just wanted to share my excitement with people who understand the strong bonds.

oh geez, bunnyliz, I’d pass out if one of mine did that for me, you have been highly honored! that’s the way my bonded pairs snuggle each other, you are indeed a good bunny slave.

It was Awesome! i felt so honored lol. but of course what does dear sweet Hammer do right after our lovely bonding session? Eats yet another cord! i think i caught him in time to fix it though ; )

Awe that’s soooo cool.  Edson will do this too and it just makes me melt!  No words to describe it.  You expect this from a dog or a cat but having a rabbit do this is something else!

I’ve had Maryann for over 6 years and she’s never shown me that type of love. I know she has it for me, she just prefers to show it by chewin’ up my computer cables so I don’t have to spend so much time on it.

Aww my bunny is very social he just .. licks lol mainly me but other people get the occasional one
I was over the moon when he first started doing it but now we just kinda sit there while i rub behind his ears and he licks me lol

Oh yes we can definitely understand what the excitement it all about.  It is such a special thing when you earn their trust. What makes it so special to me is that they don’t just give their trust freely at first. Some do but most take a little time. Being a prey animial we have to change the way we view them. That makes it all that more special.  What a lucky bunny slave you are.
