Im getting to that point..

I have a One year old Little rascal for a Bunny named Lillith. She is fixed since 3 months back, and has since, Lived indoors. She has has a real Hard Times learning to use her litterboxes, and as none of us enjoys her in a Cage, she has been allowed to free Rome the small appartment. She has taking a liking to peeing in the sofa, and right outside her litterboxes. Also none coverd corners of the wall and the bathroomrug and the shoerug are also victimes of her pee. (Althugh not the main rug) I clean it Up as soon as I see it, with a special kind of spray that desentisise the area. She can easilly get into all litterboxes as she’s Always in there digging in Them.

This morrning though, I woke Up to her peeing ON ME! I am really starting to despice her. I KNOW she isnt doing anything bad just to be bad, she really just don’t get it, bit I just don’t know what to do at this point.

On top of all this, she can open cabinets and climb Them, got Up on My desk and ruined my speakers and headphones last week, and on top of Waking Up by her peeing on me, she had ruined my favorite shoes this morning by bitting of the laces. She has toys, she just doesnt Birger with Them at all…

I feel like I’ve tried everything, and at this point I feel like I don’t have a lot more options biäut to Keep her locked in a Cage when Im not home, and not awake. This meens shell be locked Up about 2o hours a Day exept weekends, and nether of us wants that.

What tips can you guys offer to Maybe get this peeing under control?!

You need to enclose her in a smaller space until she’s litter trained. If she has free roam of an entire house and has never been litter trained then of course she’s going to pee wherever. Keep her in a small space, and you’ll need to keep moving her to the litter tray every time she pees outside it, and making a noise (a clap or a hiss) to discourage her peeing elsewhere. Once she’s using the litter tray in a small space, increase the amount of space she has gradually. You can’t give her a whole house to roam at once or she’ll be completely confused about where she’s meant to pee.

You need to keep things that aren’t safe for her to chew out of her reach. It’s not her fault if she chews things that you leave around for her to chew.

It doesn’t sound like your whole apartment is safe for a rabbit, so why don’t you work on making one room rabbit-proofed, instead of letting her roam a whole apartment that isn’t safe?

Im Living in a Verry small appartment, Kitchen, hall and Living/bedroom all in One and the same room, so I can’t Keep her in “One room” that is My whole appartment, lol! Its quuiite rabbit proofed, all My cords are om My desk (that I’ve Made sure she can’t get back Up on!) Any shelf she van getinto I don’t place stuff she can do anything with, and shoes is something she’s never tuched before, so Im going to have to solve that somehow! I do relize everything she gets too, I let ger get to, but it really is a buildup to be honest!

Im thinking of blocking of the hallway for her, to Keep her only there Maybe? How big of an area should she have to start with?

Ah I see.

I would start her off in an area that’s around a meter by 2 metres (which I think is roughly the minimum space rabbits need). If that’s too big and it’s not working, then decrease it a bit. I imagine most hallways would be a perfect size. Then you can monitor her very carefully. She’ll still need extra time out for exercise of course, but you need to be consistent with training while she’s out as well. You should also reward her whenever she does pee in the litterbox!
