Can you just give me some informetion about what i should do when i first get her…..I have read tons of information but i still feel like I am missing stuff. please and thank you!

How exciting. A few questions you should ask yourself. Can you afford vet bills for 2 buns? If they are from a rescue, they are both spayed already?

Were they living together at the rescue? If yes, then by all means take them both. Having buns that are already spayed/neutered and bonded is a great time and stress saver. LOL as for feeling like you are missing info…I knew nothing about buns when I rescued my first one and now I feel the more I know the less I know. As much as I read, I still have to ask the gang at BB. That is what we are here for.

The best thing to do when you get her (them) is use a confined area until they are good with the litter box. Then just hang with her until she approaches you. The lay on the floor and ignore them is a great way to start the bonding process with you. Every bun is different, some are bolder some are shy and take longer to get to know.

Good luck and lots of pictures as soon as possible.

If yes, take them both for sure!

As long as you can afford to take care of both I’d definitely take both if they’ve been living together and are bonded.

I ALWAYS feel like I know nothing about bunnies…until I start thinking I have it all figured out, and then they throw me a curve-ball, and I feel like an IDIOT again!

Happy to answer questions, but it’s easier to answer them if you are more specific…What do you want to know more about?

My Lizzy was very well-bonded with her sister Emily at the rescue…until they went through puberty, decided that not only did they no longer like each other, but that they flat-out HATED each other, and were no longer listed as an adoptable-pair, but as separate buns. They both got spayed shortly after…trying to KILL each other! So, if your potential bunnies are bonded and already fixed, PLEASE take them together, as they’ll be terribly depressed without each other! But if they’re not fixed yet…no guarantees!

(I still feel guilty that Emily was left behind, as she and Lizzy look EXACTLY alike, but it would have been adopting 2 individual buns, with 2 cages, 2 playtimes, 2 everything…and as a first-time bunny-mom, that would have been way-beyond my abilities…)

aw i cant wait to see pictures! i think if they are kept together now it seems abit mean to seperate them if they are both spayed and both bonded. I would personally take both but it all depends on your situation. Keep us posted! YAY todays the day !!
