Ola!!
Back from Cuba….after two weeks, I was ready to come home, but not you know!? It was fantastic. The food was actually really really good; Dave’s a meatatarian (no veggies at all) and I’m a vegetarian, so tough to do, but we were both very happy! The pool was great, the beach was awesome and the reef off our resort was the best snorkelling i’ve ever done and actually better then most of the scuba i’ve done!! We went paddleboating, kayaking, catamaraning (sooo fun!!) and swimming with the dolphins. We met a really nice couple and we’re pretty much inseperable-they are from Calgary so we actually live quite close!
Anyways I only have pictures from my underwater camera, so here are a few; I’ll post more later
Missed you all and i hope all is well!!!

Welcome back! I really didn’t realize Cuba had such beautiful water! It looks like the Great Barrier Reef in Australia! Dolphins are so cool. We watched people swim with them in Bermuda. We didn’t because the water looked pretty nasty. How were the bun buns???
Sounds wonderful! I was just saying Yesterday (true) to my mother that I would LOVE to try swimming with dolphins. You can do it at the Miami Seaquarium. (Why is it that now, when I live 15 min. from the ocean, I don’t even go to the beach? I used to be a beach rat every summer in Massachusetts.)
Like the last few pix of the fishes too. Specially that big one with the strange mouth and huge plastic eyes……
welcome back! i’ll have to check out the pics after dinner. i have some pics of my new addition in the getting another bunny thread! who had the buns while you were gone?
ola! welcome back. beautiful pics k&k ![]()
my mexico weekend is officially booked for nov 15-22… i can’t wait! wanted to pack already but now that i see your pics from cuba i want to even more. so did you go into withdrawal being ‘unplugged’ for 2 whole weeks? i’m slightly freaked that the condo i’m going to doesn’t have wifi for my laptop ![]()
The buns did really really good;l my friend and Dave’s mom shared them, they stayed at home and they came over to look after them. They were tentatively bonded when i left; Kahlua is sooo much faster then Rupert that we weren’t worried-if he tries to nip she’s miles away in a second! But now i’d say they are fully bonded, they follow each other around and even groom each other. Very nice to come home to!!
Hola! Ahhhhhh, Cuba! I’ve been there twice and although the only other place I have ever been to is Mexico, I have heard that Cuba does indeed have the most beautiful beaches! The people there are SO friendly as well! Did you get a chance to go to Havana? That is such a beautiful city – well worth the trip…
okay i looked at your pics! those are great. it looks like it was a blast!
hi sweetie!! welcome back, we missed you!!! looks like you had an amazing time
welcome back hun ((hugs)) missed u! i am going on holiday on the 28th for 3 whole weeks! i am going to see my doctor about my binkybunny survival pills aahh! awesome pics! i dont know if any of you heard but there has been a disaster over here where loads of dolphins swam into a small stream and got stuck and about 15 dolphins died
they managed to save a couple though, apparently because of the weather there isnt enough food so they ignored their instincts and swam down to the shore in search of food, very sad story
hope u had an awesome holiday and yes that would have been an awesome thing to come back to!!
hiya!! welcome baaaack!! looks like a fantastic place
I just LOVE the reef pictures!! VERY beautiful…I neeeed a vacation toooo!! I’m a ‘water-rat’, just love the water, and of course the beach, and nice warm weather =) thanxx for sharing those piccies with us ![]()
Did you miss your bunnies???
xx
No, kimberley, I haven’t heard about that disaster
that is so terrible
(((( I’m so so sorry for the dolphins, that this happened. oh, no!! this is all related to the climate change in the world, they were only looking for food!! poor dolphins…that is just so sad…makes me :::cry::: when I hear things like that…
xx
well there has been an update now and the dead dolphins had a forensic exam thing and they werent hungry at all, so now the new theory is that noise from a big ship confused them into the wrong direction, i dont think anyone really knows but it is sad.
I saw a show…and basically they can link all ‘mass breaching’ (where dolphins and whales go up on land and die, usually in large numbers) to military activity in the area, using sonar….Makes a lot of sense. Sad though very sad.
yes thats what they reckon it is, so i dont know what it is but yes it is very sad ![]()
