If I hadn’t been tossing and turning last night-totally unable to fall asleep, well then I’d have been asleep and I’d never have known…

…that at around five am, Rupert and Kahlua come in our bedroom and jump all over us while we’re asleep

How can you not know if 2 rabbits are doing acrobatics over your sleeping bodies? I can’t imagine anyone sleeping that soundly!

Hahaha well I am known for my sound sleeping…I have three alarm clocks all of which function only to wake Dave up to wake me up…Saturday morning he went out so although three alarm clocks were blaring I slept until five thirty pm…Not only am I a sound sleeper but I am a marathon sleeper!! Daves a sound sleeper by most standards but not as bad as me!

We joke, watching those prison shows, that I’d have no problem being locked up because I’d just sleep through my sentance!!

As a woman who slept through 90% of my labor..I understand completely.

Went to sleep at 2 cm…..woke up at 10 cm….had a baby in 20 minutes…went back to sleep. Last sleep I have had in ten years.

                            Fiver sits and waits for me to pass out whilst he is doing his “on the bed exercise”. He keeps hoping I won’t notice that he’s getting more and more interested in the edge of the bed and if I were to fall asleep, would take advantage of the situation and probably get eaten by the cat. 0_o;

I have not doubt that if they were all bonded, and I had to live amongst them in ‘their’ room, I would have many bunny footie prints on my face, bum and anywhere else they could reach. xD

I thought your buns were kept in lock down during the night, K&K?

Oh, and Baleful, I envy you your labor sleep. With my son I was induced and spent almost 14 hours in excruciating pain, lessened only by an epidural and a cesarean. My daughter was rather precipitous labor, as I went from 4 AM to 1 PM and they had to use that little suction cup thing on her head for the last few hours. I would have welcomed death during that time, believe me!

                              Holy cow, MM!

Totally sticking with bunnies!  When I’m 40 and feeling very responsible, maybe I’ll get a Golden Retriever.  When I’m 50 and closer to financial stability, I’ll get a horse.  I don’t like the combo of excruciating pain, followed by 17 years of eye-rolling (I teach high-school…love them all, but am SOOO glad I don’t have to live with them!  Or feel too personally responsible when I hear too much about their weekends!), followed by paying for college!

Lizzy may throw me attitude, but hopefully she won’t cost me $30k a year for a college-pseudo-education anytime soon!

I agree lighchick, althogh our college systems works differently here. I think i’ll stick to bunnies for ever and luckily boyfriend agrees. Layla is too much for us! Can’t imagine a toddler, and thinking about how many grey hairs I put on my parents head, I’d really not like to be the parent of a teenager like me

LOL!! I actually have myself de-sensitized to bunnies hopping on me during the night! Binkles made a habit of actually jumping -HARD- on my face while I was asleep and then propelling herself off. I eventually got to the point where I’d literally sleep through it. I’d wake up in the morning and remember something vaguely about it happening, but just kind of shrug it off.

That’s funny! They’re probably trying to wake you up for a little late night snack!!!

I wish my buns could sleep in my bed… instead I have to sleep with one big cantankerous kitteh. In the winter, when it’s cold at night, I’m stuck sharing a double bed with my man and 4 cats!!!! If you make them leave, they just keep coming back while you sleep. My animals are way too spoiled rotten.

My female black shorthair cat has suddenly taken to sleeping on my bed, which she hardly ever does. She’ll literally curl up right next to Fiver’s pen and stick her tail perilously close to the bars. I am waiting for the day when it slips inside and someone goes CHOMP!

Q.T. won’t come near it unless I am awake and can stand between him and “those ebil bunnehs”. He used to sleep on my pillow with me. When it gets cold enough, they’ll both try to get under the blankets as well. If the black cat is underneath when Q.T. jumps up on it, she scares the bejeezus out of him by swatting at him from there…of course all he sees is this lump in the blanket attacking him…so he shoots off the bed like a meteor!

If I could trust that Fiver wouldn’t wander, I’d let him sleep on the bed. But it would be a disaster, I am sure. Enough strange things go on while I’m asleep and once I’m out, nothing gets me up until morning.
