  Just joined the group and are lisa_43’s husband and part time rabbit condo builder.
  
  Good to see so many people on here with a common interest.
  
  I have never visited so many pet shops in my life or hardware stores as i have in the last few weeks..Still was interesting having the owner/builder of the "Castle a la rabbit condo" keep changing the plans on me!. It all worked out in the end. I asked her what it all cost and are still waiting for the answer.(dont think that will come any time soon).

  Welcome mcn/greg! I bet a forum for “worn out hubbies” could become quite popular as there are actually quite a few guys on here too. Great condo work! And, i can tell you at least here, those cubes end up being cheaper than much smaller cages.
  
  I do remember my husband had ideas of how it was going to be built until I said, well, remember it should go there, and it shouldn’t go out too much there, or what do you think about switching it around …and…and…and….then he gave me the stink eye, but it ended up turning out great. So how long did it end up taking you all together?

  Yes you are right.We spent quite a few dollars on those outside ones you get in the shops.
  
  But the cubes do work out cheaper. I saw a cage which was built for ferrits the other day which didnt look too bad. .I’ll attach a picture.
  
  I had a touch of de je vu when you said "witch that here switch that there or would this be better here or there?". haha
  
  All up too a couple of days i guess with all the changes to get it working right and i guess you cant get it right till you put the rabbits in and see where problems may arise.
  
  the cubes certainly make it a cheap build with no fabrication which is good.
  
  Next project is to build me a house so i can move into it!.
  
  Hubbys section would be good.Sort of a self help group.May be spouse rabbit syndrome lol.

  Welcome! I’m sure once we start building our condo my hubby will want to join a hubby section too! lol. When I first joined this group he thought I was really crazy but after all the support and info he’s glad I’m here. So it’s really nice to hear the souse’s side of the journey.

  Welcome Greg! I am just sitting here chuckling away. You really must be worn out from all the buidling and perfecting etc of the new bunny home. But I think they appreciate everything you’ve done for them and I think it’s fantastic you did that for all of them, it looks great! I think you’ve earned some well deserved time off!

  Back to work this week so the time off is over.Had planned to do a few things around the house but never got done.We have had some pretty high temp down here. One day it topped 112 i think.So the bunny home was important to get done.

  Well i think there will be a few hubbys out there reaching out. Im sure theres others out there.
  
  One important thing he will need is a set of ear plugs when he starts building.Very important. lol
  
  Yes the crazy thing was felt by me to.I thought Lisa was nuts but she enjoys it and has made some new friends from all over the world which is good.

  Hello there Greg I bet my fiance would agree with your forum idea as well. I’ve been building rabbit condo’s all of my vacation (this past week) and every time he comes home I have a new story of how the people at the Home Improvement store laughed at me when I brought about 2 pieces of lumber up to their jumbo saw and asked them to cut the two skinny pieces in half!
  
  He also probably needs a support group to discuss the 2000 zillion times I have dragged him over to my computer to read the funny post/view the funny picture/watch the funny rabbit movie that someone has posted!

  Yep I’m definetly right there with you! They are just so cute! my youtube favs is just so full with bunny videos and each one I told hubby to come and watch!

  I to can relate to that also, Greg just goes to sit down and I say come and have a look at this funny bunny etc. ha-ha my motto is you got to keep them on their toes.

  Oh, I forgot to mention there are guys on here too that have rabbits. And actually the population of men getting rabbits is growing. Rabbits have become "tougher" icons in the media,(more like what they really are actually) so maybe that’s part of it. . So it would be better to have worn out partners for the wives, girlfriends whatever…whomever is subject to suffering due to their partners love for bunnies.
