Ever since I’ve gotten Thane (About 5mths ago now) he’s not been 100%.
First we had the eye infection. Then the UT infection. Then the accident!
Ever since I’ve had him, he’s been a sneezer. I mentioned it to my vet the first day I got him and she said his breathing was fine and nothing to worry about. Granted, at that time it had happened once/twice. Then I brought him in for a check before going for a neuter as I thought he looked a little sore downstairs. He had a tract infection. Kicker is, I didn’t notice his sneezing as much when he was on his anti-biotics.
Then he had his little accident where he had run into the corner of the wall and injured his nose. He was put on more anti-biotics and some pain pills. He’s been fine since. That was three weeks ago.
He’s no longer on any medication and I’ve noticed a huge increase in his sneezing. It’s also become quite loud. Now he is still his active little self, eating and running and getting into trouble! He does seem to still have a little touch of his UT and I have noticed his nose seems a little runny. It’s not yellow/thick. It’s just clear, and he’s always had that.
I’m starting to think this bunny has snuffles. If that’s the case I read it’s something he has for life and there’s little that can be done except for anti-biotics. My bun is covered by insurance and I’ve very nearly reached my excess with this, so I don’t really mind getting him checked again. I hear there is a bunny genius on the other side of the city I’m thinking of taking him to see.
Anyone have any opinions/advice on this? I love the little guy with all my heart and I just want him well.
