        *sigh*

It has begun. My cute little adorabunny Monkey, has gone teenage on me. Litte goober has taken to peeing in other places of her pen away from her box at times, but still goes to her litter box to munch on her hay. *sigh* Hubby is getting annoyed, and I’ve considered going to a store and buying some nice little rugs to go on her floor until she stops..

Anyone have tips on how to deal with a goober of a teenage bunny? lol

This is a frustrating time. You can limit her space and try to retrain her to the box, but it might not work until she’s spayed. In the meantime, you could have supervised playtime in an area that can be easily cleaned up, either a kitchen, or maybe an xpen over a blanket, over a plastic tarp?

Uh oh…. =P I got Leroy at a year old and already neutered so I don’t have any helpful first-hand experiences/advice for you.. sorry. But beka’s advice about the tarp w/ a blanket and x-pen over sounds good and will definitely help cut down on nasty stains on the carpet! Good luck!

My advice- Try to remember you love her.  lol

Lucy was a huge pain, she was so aggressive and moody and destructive, an absolute horror.  It was like a chant ” I love Lucy, It isnt her fault, She will grow out of it.  I love Lucy, It isnt her fault, She will grow out of it.”  lol

Well, thankfully its just her going pee, no destroying of the carpets or walls or furniture lol. peeing I can handle, if i can put down blankets or towels or something.

How old is Monkey? I’m just curious to know when the ‘teenage’ years are…

i think i’m beginning to understand your frustration, monkeybun. my bun (mj) is about 5 months old and we just recently built and moved him into a large nic condo. he has so much room that i took off the top to his starter cage and he has that entire box as his litter box now. he’s really pretty good about not going anywhere else in the house, but now he’s decided that the entire bottom floor of his condo is an acceptable litter box. i have a feeling it’s a matter of time before the whole living room and kitchen become acceptable potty spots, too.

oh well, just the joys of bunny parenting, eh? they’re worth it.

and who knows, maybe he’ll just stick to his condo! i’m keeping my fingers crossed..

                        good luck with monkey!!
