I think Flopsy has a cold. His been acting a bit off tonight, he dosn’t want to play, & his nose is a bit runny. He is eating, just not as much. His also drinking a ton of water. He dosn’t have any runny butt or anything. So should I wait a day & see if he feels better? Or should I go ahead & take him to the vet tomorrow? The weather here has been crazy weird lately, so I think he may have got sick from that.

I think I would call the vet at least to see what they think? Maybe it’s a “seasonal” thing, but I would check to make sure. Good luck and hope Flopsy feels better

Actually snuffles is a catch all term and really does not mean anything. They also do not get colds like humans do. I think when in doubt take you rabbit to a vet if they aren’t eating normally. It could be an upper respiratory infection or maybe it’s a urinary tract infection or bladder infection because he is drinking more water. Just hard to know since you’ve listed many different things there. A physical exam and talk with the vet is your best bet.

It’s a good idea to check with your vet when there is any type of discharge. If it’s a respiratory infection, the earlier you get him on antibiotics, the easier it will be to treat as is most things with rabbits.

Let us know how he makes out!!
