I have a two year old holland lop and I made the worst mistake ever and gave him Frontline Plus and it is causing seizures for him now. I am devastated at what I have done to him. I took him to the vet and got keppra and critical care food. He still is having seizures and the vet said they did everything they could and he might not make it . they said it could be three weeks before we know for sure if he will make it. I don’t want him to suffer and don’t know if maybe we should put him down or wait and see. Can anyone give me advice?

Oh Im sorry. I can imagine you feel awful and worried. Were you able to wash some of it off once you realised?

Im not really aware of other treatment other then what the vet has already done. How long has it been now?

Sending lots of (((vibes))) for the boy!

Oh dear! I’m so sorry this happened. Any updates? What you do moving forward will depend on how he is doing. Individuals can react differently. If his seizures are not too bad and he improves with medication, then I think that would be a good sign for continuing supportive care. Unfortunately, that is all that can be done once it is in their system and many do not make it in the end.

Sadly Binky passed away in mine and my daughters arms on Saturday. He started seizing terribly until his little body gave out from it . My heart hurts and the guilt is awful because it’s all my fault he didn’t get to live a longer life . Thank you for the support.<!–more–><!–more–>

Oh I am so very sorry.

It was a mistake and you did the right thing seeking vet care once you realised. I’m just saddened for you and your family that he didn’t pull through. x
