I need help naming my new bunny

so, as you all know, I have a beautiful bunny named Cortes, when i first adopted him I called him "bb" for baby bunny, and it took me two weeks to find a good name…

now, I’ve adopted a beautiful little girl, I call her "c" for cutie, but I can’t seem to find a good name for her!!

she’s a little sprinter, so brave and loves to explore, she’s afraid of nothing, i think she doesn’t know how little she is , likes to run around and over cortes when he’s sleepy, you can almost see him rolling his eyes, and sometimes she runs soo fast that she misses and runs into him really hard, lol, cortes is so big he hardly moves!!

she looks a little like Frankie, Rachel’s bunny…

anyway, if you have any ideas, send them my way!!

she’s so cute.  when i saw her picture the first thing that came to my mind was Amelia.  i’ve never had any pets named that… but i think Amelia would make a terrific baby girl name!

Nina ("little girl" in spanish but that is the english way of saying it, it spanish it’d be like "kneen-ya&quot

Bonita ("pretty" in spanish and starts with b for bunny 🙂  pronounced "bo-nee-ta&quot

My suggestion would be to write down every name you like that has been given onto cards or pieces of paper about the size of a business card. Then, put the bunny into the mix of them and whichever she nibbles on first is her name. It is a nice way to let the bunny pick her name.

I did it with Maryann. She was originally named Maryann by the shelter but I put out a dozen more names on cards. She ignored them for two days so I put a raisin on each card and the one she chose first? Maryann.

What does Cortes think of the new little one? Have you had trouble bonding them? Im really curious about their relationship because when I introduced my new baby bunny to the family my other two were really passive aggressive. Everything would seem fine and they’d be eating and laying together, then Nibbles would randomly bite the baby with no provocation. Or they’d be fine together for a long time, then Peanut (baby bun) would go into one of thier boxes and Nibbles would growl/honk and thump and chase her out. Which I understand that its a territory thing but I’m just wondering if Cortes feels the same way about his stuff as mine do.

ps: I like the names Saphira,  Ayla, Blair, Gwen, Sabrina, Nicce (pronounces nietzsche), and Frida.  Let us know what you end up naming her!

I love your idea Markus and I think I’ll do that as soon as i get enough… I love amelia, that’s going on a card … I also love the name Nala, I love that movie!! so that’s going on a card for sure!! (sorry about using the word love so much, but I get in such a good mood when i’m doing something that has to do with my babies )

Now toffee and caramel were already on my mind, actually, because of her colors, i really like cookie dough… it’s my favorite icecream , so those are going on a card as well together with ayla and nicce

about the bonding… I read the bonding information but they had their own little plans… when i first brought her, cortes was definetly interested, oh my god!! was he ever!!! lol, so i started to let him smell her, and i pet him a few times gave him kisses while holding her and a few treats so he’d relate her to a good experience.

Now, the way his cage is set up (due to a few problems i ran into, he’s no longer a free range bunny at night, just during the day) I have the big 3 story cage against the wall, and he has nothing in there but a few toys, so that’s where he plays and sleeps, and I attached a big wire dog training crate right in front of the front door of that cage, I just removed the back of it, and it’s like a whole other room area where he goes to poop, eat and drink water…

i figured they would need to get to know and i wanted to see what they were like together, so I let her into the cage, BAD IDEA! cortes would chase her, without hurting her, and put his chin on her head and lower it, sign of dominance, when i noticed he wanted to hump her, I took her out… so I got a small cage, and put it against his for a while, at night, I’d close the 3 story cage and let her roam around in the dog crate… she was so small she got out a few times, lol… then when i noticed cortes was sleeping next to her trough the cage, I’d live them together during the day when i could see them, and seperate at night… then one day, I noticed cortes was running around showing her how it was ok to go into the bathroom area , he’d tap her head run to the bathroom and come back to her, then do it all over again till she got the messege

now, they sleep next to eachother, cortes shares his treats, when i put one in front of her, he’ll smell it, then push her side and she’ll start eating, sort of like giving her the "OK" , he tolerates her sprinting around him, and licks her head for a good 20 minutes straight, she likes to rub her head against him too, it’s been an absolute blessing and it only took about 10 days to get to that point

I love the name Lucy…I think it’s such a pretty girlie name…I was going to name Kahlua lucy, but we had to stick with a theme I also love Mandy and Mindy…
