        Hey Y’all.

        I hope you guys are all having an amazing day!!

        So i know i had submitted a post about getting a Bun. The time is finally here!!

        I just have a couple of questions. I have bought everything he/she will need.

        He will be a mostly free-roam bun except for when I am at work. I will be making him/her a nice bunny condo full of goodies and toys.
        I have done as much research as I possibly can I have gotten the vet info, emergency vet info, Insurance plan for my baby. But I am debating on what size litter box to get my sweet baby,

        I found this one on amazon but it looks too be quite small. But it has great reviews any thought or recommendations? I have attached a photo. Also i have read that Alfalfa hay is best for young buns, but i also heard a mixture of both timothy and alfalfa would be good as well! Can you guys help me out?

        Thats the link for the litter box since i cant seem to insert a pic.

          Looking at the measurements, I would say that litter box is too small. Go for a cat litter box instead.

          Young bunnies can have alfalfa. Or you can mix it with timothy. Or you can just give timothy. It won’t hurt your bunny.

            Honestly, when I first got my bun I got him a collapsible dish pan as a litter box. you can just fold down the front so your bunny can jump into it. Alfalfa is recommended for buns but you can always switch to Timothy. My baby’s old owner only fed him Timothy so that’s what I continued and he was perfectly healthy. It looks like you’re more than prepared for your bun, I’m sure you’ll be a great bunny parent!

              Don’t make him free range at first, he/she needs time to settle in and get comfortable in a new space. Too much at once can be very overwhelming to them

                @Kiki

                Thank you so much for your comment because I am not going to lie I was a bit nervous of keeping him in a cage as soon as i got him. Even though he wont be in a cage locked up all day only when I am away. My thoughts were initially to just really bond with him/her get to know their likes, dislikes and then making him/her a full free roam. I want to have a really good connection with my baby and No deep connection is ever made by rushing things. But your comment really put my mind at ease. Thank you so much Kiki.

                  Yeah, just looking at it. It does not seem practical or comfortable which is the most important in my opinion. No one wants to be cramped in a little box while they are doing their business.Not me lol.

                  And yes I was thinking of a mixture of both just so he/she can get the benefits of the Alfalfa without it being too much. And it can also make it easier for me to ween him/her off when he/she matures.

                  One more question: I bought the oxbow young rabbit pellets, can i give him/her those as well as endless amount of hay?

                  I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out!
