besides advantage for the rabbit cat and dog.

what are products i can use that are natrual and safe around bunnies.  i got caught up in a hatch! and there everywhere.  i need a spray for my rugs etc.  if i use a toxic spray im worried that when it dries it wont be safe for Morely.

        any suggestions?

I don’t really know. I think most sprays and pesticides cannot be used around bunnies at all. If they’re used, the buns need to be evacuated for a day or two.

call and talk to your vet- they might carry something that you can use in the home, plus they should have suggestions and tips for you also./

Some other things you can do is wash all the bedding the pets sleep on.  And vacuum your house but be sure to get rid of the bag and or empty the canister and get it outside in the trash- flea eggs can hatch in the vacuum.

Be sure to treats all the pets in the house monthly with Advantage for at least 3 months due to the flea life cycle.

This is from the House Rabbit Society but do call and speak with the vet too:

              Fleas
              Marinell Harriman
              .
Flea season is another of nature’s annoyances. As our handout stated at a recent groomer’s conference in New Jersey, cat flea products are generally safe for rabbits with fleas. Advantage and Revolution are thought to be safe in most rabbits. In treating a rabbit’s fleas aggressively the cure can be more stressful than the infestation.
We have never recommended a flea dip for rabbits, and recently we received a very alarming report of a death occurring after a flea shampoo, followed by a pyrethrin dip. We cannot be certain as to the specific cause of death-the stress of the bath or the ingredients in the shampoo or dip-so we recommend avoiding both.

Our foster homes have been able to use room sprays (pump-type) and eliminate fleas from the environment for 6 months or so. We spray only one room at a time and move the rabbits out of that room for at least 24 hours.

I feel for ya! I went through this in December, although I was lucky and I only found 3 or 4 fleas on my cats. I used Revolution on my cats and bunnies and vacuumed like a mad woman. I washed everything in the house that could be thrown in the washer. Dustbust really carefully around the walls and under furniture as this is where they tend to stay so as not to get stepped on.

Not too long ago we had a thread with some great tips for killing fleas in your home that would also be safer for animals. i am trying to find that!

One tip I can add is – We put a flea collar in our vacuum bag/cannister to kill fleas that we picked up.

A member posted to this thread about a particular product that we feel should not be used.  We have deleted the post, but just in case people did see the post and were thinking about purchasing the product, we wanted to be sure to offer caution.

The product the member posted was “Dual action flea and pet odor remover by sergeant’s  called “flea-free breez”

One of our forum leader researched the product, found the ingredients which included permethin- not advised for bunnies.  Below are links with more information:
