I guess she is injured.

 Well, Huckleberry seems to have hurt her back paw. She is being very careful with it, lifting it slightly as she hops. She will let me touch the other foot but bites me if I touch the one that is sore. I do not see any cuts and the bone doesn’t seem to be broken. It doesn’t feel any different from the other one but she seems to be in pain from it. I don’t know what she could have done! I am planning to take her to the vet as soon as I get paid, probably at the end of the week. I feel horrible that she is suffering but I don’t know what I can do. I am going to call the vet on Monday and see if they will just bill me, if they will then I will take her in ASAP!!!  I just needed to share my concern with people who understand. It is like a knife to the stomach and I almost start crying when I see her hop in the room. I can tell that she is, at very least, uncomfortable and that is enough. 

Does anyone have any advice, tips, ideas about what could be wrong? She doesn’t have a cage, so no bars to worry about. The kitchen is the only room she goes in that doesn’t have carpet. The couch is the highest height she jumps from (that I am aware of).

Have you heard of CareCredit? I know most people don’t want to take out another credit card, but it saved me when V broke his leg. You can find out instantly if your approved (seriously, within like 5 minutes) and most vets now take them because they are a credit card. You will be given your credit card number over the phone, so no waiting for your card to get mailed.
Something to think about!
Can you restrict her access to the room? When V broke his leg and the emergency vet wouldn’t take him, they said to put him in a tiny cage or carrier. This was only for that night, as luckily I could get him to the vet that morning, but maybe that is another option? They said not to give V any pain meds but again, I think that was only because they knew he’d be going under anesthesia for xrays in the morning.

I have heard about it. I think I will check it out. Like you said, it’s hard to talk myself into a credit card, but this is probably the best reason to have one. She has been restricting her own movement. She isn’t moving around much, just to eat and use the litter box then back to her corner to lay down. I don’t think it is as bad as a break, but I am sure it is hard to tell on a rabbit how much pain they are actually in. I don’t have any pain meds for her. I only have human meds and I wouldn’t give her those! I have heard at one point that you can give dogs a children’s tylenol for pain but I have never really believed that to be good for them and have NEVER done it. I feel that if they are that bad off it is just better to get them to a vet.

I should add that she is eating/drinking/bathrooming normally.

It might be a fracture, but you would know if it was a full on break! Try to put her litter box, food, and water all in the same space so she wont have to hop too far. I have heard you can do asprin for bunnies, but haven’t ever done it. You could always try calling your vet and seeing what they recommend for the mean time. I don’t think it’s unusual for them to here about not being able to pay for treatment right then and there, but they may be able to prescribe a pain med for her that would be like $10 until you can get the xrays and possible cast put on. Always worth a shot!
I have been here before and know that it’s hard on the both of you. They really are quite resilient little creatures though.

I applied for the Care Credit card a few months back and was approved in minutes. It comes in handy so many times with my animals.

She has an appointment with her vet at 2:00 today. I hope it is nothing more than a sprain or something. Ill update when I know something

Thanks for the vibes, they must have done some good!
She does not have any injuries that they are aware of. They did not do an x-ray because the vet did not feel anything abnormal and Huckles didn’t react when it was touched. They did find that she has some irritated skin one of her hocks. It is just red, no broken skin. I have 5 doses of meloxicam, after 3, if it isn’t helping I am to take her back in for x-rays. They told me to rub something with zinc oxide, like diaper cream, on her hock to ease the pain a little.
She has lost 600 grams but they said she was overweight so this was good. Her teeth still have some points but she has no problem eating and shows no signs of sores in her mouth so they are concerned but not worried. I just need to keep an eye on her.
