It’s like a very soft grunting. Almost like the sound guinea pigs will make when they are eating or content but less squeaky. What does it mean?

Remy sometimes makes soft little grunts when I’m petting and kissing him… I assume it means he’s happy!

It might be honking? Mine don’t honk, but I know its a good sound!

              yeah I would thin it’s a contented/appreciative noise… we’re going to need a picture just to be sure though…

lol okay I’m kidding, but a picture would be good

Hang on a minute – new rabbit? No pics? Do you not know the rules here?!

Only teasing… but we do love a nice bunny picture.

.. Hehehe, yes, we would love a picture of your bunny! Please

Well, honking is a good thing. She is happy.

                  How old is she?

Some rabbits will keep doing it after they are spayed/neutered. Some don’t. Mine still does! It is hilarous

Smudge grunts like that alot when she is investigating things. And she is definitely healthy, so I wouldn’t be worried. She’s just a happy curious little bunny… that we have yet to see

Are you sure she is a rabbit and not a guinea pig?  Lol… J/K.

I thought you were looking at adopting a pair?  Is this bunny from the same rescue as the dutch pair?  Is she spayed already?

Ahem. MB is referring to her cyberspace poking sticks, which she weilds mercilessly in order to poke someone into quick action, usually to get them to post pictures of cute bunnies. Watch out for her – she bunnynaps, too.

I was looking at a pair, and than I saw this bunny. She won my heart completely. I’ll do a proper introduction (with pictures) in the Lounge.
Thanks for all the answers guys. First bunny, and I don’t know any of the noises yet, I just adore her and I think I’m just overly worried about something being wrong.

I think she’s beautiful!!! I think it’s a good idea you started off with one, especially since this is your first house rabbit, Bonding can be daunting, but it usually can happen relatively quickly, within a month or two, so keep in mind the option of a second is always there.

Sunny sometimes makes noises like a zebra (not as loud of course!), and sometimes little piglet noises (I call him wilbur when he does this lol). I don’t know what a “honk” is..or a guinea pig noise…hmmm, youtube, here I come!
