So I took the plunge and bought a real bed. As in “I’m about to turn 40 and have been sleeping on the bed my husband brought home when I was pregnant with our daughter 12 plus years ago with the pillows I had in college”.
The good news for Coco and Jackson is that the under bed is now completely open, so about 30% MORE floor space for them. Plus, there is no wood frame for them to gnaw on at 6:30 in the morning if they feel I am not looking like I am getting up to feed them.
What I didn’t expect was that a new bed in the room meant that the two of them would spend the next 4 nights marking the heck out of the room with poo since I had the audacity to bring in a new piece of furniture!
Oh, that and I had to buy new small rugs for under the bed since they were waking me up multiple times during the night with their crazy running under the bed …getting startled and trying to get traction on wood floors.
Scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch…..run.
