I embarrassed myself at the petstore today…

My boyfriend and I were at the local petstore and we were looking at rabbit toys… cause Radar isn’t spoiled enough.  When we see this lady walking around with a teeny tiny lionhead baby.  She’s petting him and talking about how sweet he is and she looks at her husband and says, “Rabbits don’t have personality do they?” 

My boyfriend and I both began laughing.  We were in kind of a silly mood cause of a long and tiring week and I lost it when she said that… I laughed so hard I cried…  I tried to explain that we had a diva rabbit and well… we left right away. 

They’re not actually selling bunnies there until mid-April to prevent impulse buying…

My bf said that if Radar heard her say that… she would have bit the woman. I’m pretty sure that he’s right.

If all rabbits did was sit there and nibble on things, it would get old fast. You can’t get by on looks alone. One tooth grinding or binky is worth all of the time that I put into taking care of her.

LMAO….cause we thought that when I found my first rabbit…..In less than a half hour, we found out other wise as we became bunny slaves. And we were just saying this morning, how good Fu was compared to Shadow who is fast becoming Attila the Bun (and this is after his neuter!)

It never ceases to amaze me, we have a house full of cats and dogs, the rabbit has more toys than the rest of them combined, we spend more time and energy and money on housing, foods, clean up after one of his lock down tantrums, vets not to mention rabbit proofing.  We laugh and secretly applaud when he beats the system.  Buns have personality up the wazoo!  And it takes special people to appreciate just what the little beaties can do.

yes to be fair, most of us only thought that bunnies sat outside and did not much because people just arent well educated on it, we all know dogs can learn their name and give paw and stuff but few know that rabbits can be just as clever!

nothing to be embarrassed about. I hope the dumb lady go tthe message. apparantly  she is in for a big surprise if she gets a bunny poor thing. poor little bunny. the things people think never fails to amaze one does it. no personalities oh dear. even when I was little and had all those buns outside they had personalities and I knew it. yeah some people a couple cans short of a 6 pack out there

and if its a lionhead she is in for a royal shock because i know i have spent hours grooming hopscotch since i got him everytime he moves or anything he needs brushing again what it must be like to have an angora i will never know lol!!

there are a lot of people who have no idea that rabbits have any personality or intelligence. what sad lives they lead missing out on all the bunny fun!
