My 3 buns had a date yesterday that lasted about 3 hours and overall wasn’t too bad. I was planning to do it again this morning so I traded out their play times early so everyone would have a chance to run around first. Well, Ben realized we were early and knows that’s suspicious so he’s sitting in there thumping every couple of minutes. I’m trying to decide if it’s more important to be consistent and do the date or give in and let him have a rest day if he’s that annoyed about it. Any thoughts? I’m leaning towards making him do it and seeing how his thumpy morning affects his behavior on the date.

I think, in the end, it will be negligible whether you do it or not! If it’s possible that the irritation would foster negative interactions that might hinder progress, I’d stay away. At the same time, it can be a time for them to “work out” stuff. It’s up to you and I don’t see it as being a decision with major consequences.

Thank you! I ended up going for it and he’s being very good today and overall they’re having a lot more cuddle time than normal.
