Indy has been able to run around my room for a few months now. The past 5 days or so he’s peed on my pillow 2 times and random turds have been in my bed or on my pillow. I’m okay with picking them up off the floor if there is an accident…but my bed is SO not cool to do that in. Is he marking me? I have a terrible headache right now, missed my first class and can’t sleep because he won’t stop licking me and I’m tired of poop on my pillow. It’s just 1 or 2 poops, not a usually load of 30. Is it time for him to get neutered? Time to go wash my pillow and sheets. Also…it’s only when I am in bed!!!!! He doesn’t do it when I’m not there! I’m just going to have to put him in his cage at night so I don’t get pooped on.

Just for a little more info about what he’s doing. He has found ‘Your’ sleeping spot and the incessant licking is that you are going to become his girlfriend (even my male rabbit did this to me). So he’s marking his territory and your territory so that you become his. When he is neutered, his hormones will die down and you’ll be just good friends after that.

He peed on my bed/pillows 2 times today. I locked him up after he did it as soon as I crawled back into bed after class, he hops onto my bed and actually sprays me as well. I was shocked. I just let him back out about an hour ago, he jumps on the bed with my friend sitting on it and pops a squat. I told my mom what was going on, she seemed fine with me getting him neutered. I might need her to pick him up if I’m in class or working when he is ready, so that makes me happy that she’s on board.

I do empathize. I had a bout last year when Coco decided my husband was the interloper in our bed and decided to pee on his side and pillow Daily.

Of course, He thinks he is paying you the highest of compliments – spraying you with HIS scent, claiming you as HIS.

I’ve found out how to fake him out and still let him run around my room – just only when I am not in bed. I cover my pillows with my fleece blanket. He is very wary of it, and gets sonar ears to inspect it and isn’t interested in making it his. No mommy smelling pillows for him. So we are doing okay now until we get snipped.

I should be on some “herbal essence” hair commercial on what happens when your hair smells too good :p
