Most of my family live out of state from me. My family mainly lives in Ohio, and my hubbies family lives in NY. My mom called me yesterday trying to figure out when she and my brother can come to visit. We finally hammered down some dates. They are coming August 4-11.
I was talking to my brother Shawn, who is coming. He is awesome. I am not degrading him when I write the next sentence. He is 25 years old, but mentally he is 8. He can’t read, but he’s a smart guy in his own way. Last year, he came with my mom. I was soooo happy. He’s never flown before. We took him to the beach and it was like a kid in the candy store.
He is the ultimate animal lover. I’ve told you all in the past I grew up on the farm. He ate that up. He loved it. Right now he takes care of the family dog. God forbid if anything happen to both of my parents, my husband and I will be his guardien. I told mom I”d be happy to do that. I also told my hubby that if he comes so will a dog or some sort of animal.
Last night, Shawn was so funny. We were talking on the phone. He asked me what are you doing? I told him that I was in the rabbit pen. His responce was “What do you want to do that for.” He was imagining me being in a cage or one of the hutches we had while we were growing up. LOL. I had to explain that it wasn’t what he thought. I can’t wait for him and my mom to meet Holly. Shawn especially will love her. I also told him that he’d be sleeping in the same room as her. We have a couch that folds out into a bed. He’s all for that.
I’m sorry for rambling, but I just wanted to share.
