Just picked up Walter.  It rang up as a neuter and seems the incision is down low, nothing on the belly…so Walter really is a boy and the first vet was high?

Just got “him” settled, will try and get pic tomorrow during the pain med feeding.

For a neuter, the operation is all done on the testes, so there should be nothing on the belly at all. With females, incision is at the belly area, and for males, the incision is on the testes.

            Wouldn’t there be two incisions?

There arent always two incisions for a neuter, they can remove both testes through the same incision.

Well, I suppose. But that is more invasive. I know my vet doesn’t do it that way. Do some vets prefer that method for some reason?

Well, no pic, but got a good look, definitely testies.

No idea what the one vet was talking about.

He’s not doing great, hopefully can get hubby to take him in tomorrow.

I really hope your bunny gets better and makes a complete recovery. Please keep us updated on how he’s faring.

We opted not to neuter our now 9 month old netherland dwarf because we don’t have a trusted vet and don’t want to risk any complications with having the operation done. He gets along fine with our cat (no mounting of any kind) and has remained litter trained (no spraying).

How’s he doing today? What’s been going on with him?

Oh no, I hope he’s doing better now. Poor thing.
