I am aving trouble bonding my 2 bunnies

I’ve been trying to bond my 2 rabbits for about 3 weeks now.  Daisy is a 1 1/2 year old spayed female and Milo is a 7 month old neutered male.  We started out in bathtub and that didn’t go well.  We then tried a bathroom and that went ok for a couple of days, they even flopped next to each other.  The day after they flopped they started attacking each other, not sure what caused the change.  I tried an x-pen in the backyard  to change things up and things just got worse.  When not bonding, their cages are right next to each other, so they can see each other at all times.

 I’ve started stress boding by putting them both in a small laundry basket covered with a towel and either carrying them around or putting them on my lap on our porch swing.  They have not been fighting while I’ve been doing this, but they never relax even when they aren’t moving anymore.  I’m not sure what the next steps are.  I don’t want to do something wrong and cause problems between them.   Please help.  I’d really like them to get along.

Hello and Welcome!

Can you explain what exactly they do when they attack each other? Does anything seem to trigger it? Do you have litter boxes or anything that might cause territory issues in the bonding area?

If they don’t fight during stress bonding I might continue with that. Maybe do multiple shorter stress sessions a day for a couple days before trying a neutral area again.
