The suspect: a very innocent looking white mini-lop: Bindi Loo

He had a stuffed toy I bought him for about a week and showed zero interest in it. This morning I found Humphrey face down in Bindi’s house. His face had been torn off (gruesome, I know…). It doesn’t look like he ate any of the fabric as I found a few small pieces in his cage and it looks to be all there but I’m a bit concerned he may have eaten some of the stuffing. There doesn’t look to be a whole lot missing but I didn’t find any lying around the cage. I can’t really see why a rabbit would eat that stuff, I can’t imagine it being too pleasant to eat.  Do you think he would eat that?

Has anyone else dealt with a destroyed plush? I just changed his litter box to monitor his poops today. He’s a chewer but he doesn’t usually eat the cardboard stuff he destroys. No more plush pals for him.

Firstly…I read the thread title and frowned, very concerned….then my mouse revealed a preview to the opening lines…”suspect…White mini lop Bindi Loo..” My brain was putting it together then…head in hands giggling! I have to read more…

Lol LPT! Poor Bindi. Poor Humphrey! Do you remember when you were a kid and living in the moment, you’d destroy something?  Then afterward you’d be devastated realising what you’ve done? I do!  Maybe Bindi will miss his Hippo. I don’t think he could have ingested too much – lets hope not.

Guess his hippo really is stuffed. R.I.P Humphrey

HAHAHAHA!!!!! I did the same thing Jersey! I saw the title and got very sad and angry that someone would murder a hippo (I am an advocate for animals, even the imaginary ones… lol!)

Oh Bindi! That is really funny, he did all of that just over one night? I can definitely understand your concern. I guess just be extra cautious right now, monitor everything that goes in and comes out (we do that anyways!)

Wow, what a mess. Now his cage is surrounded by police tape. A small chalk outline of a hippo on the ground…

Will the CSI team be coming in? (The other bunnies…?)

Hahaha – that’s hilarious.  I saw the title and was slightly outraged and wondering why someone would murder a hippo, and then why someone would post about it here, and then what it was doing in the Q&A section when it should probably be in the lounge (all this time debating whether or not I want to read about it) and then finally figured that it must be in the Q&A because we aren’t talking about a real hippo – so finally felt brave enough to open it up and check it out!  (Run on sentences is a talent of mine )

Poor Humphrey…I hope those CSI bunnies solve the crime.

I was wondering what someone would be doing with a hippo in their back yard. Interesting pet.

Or should I say stuffed pet?

Too funny! I was so concerned when I saw your title.

My rabbit has a stuffed toy that he cuddles with and drags around. He’s never abused his toy!

Humphrey must have insulted Bindi’s manhood. 0_o

Bindi:You scoundrel! We meet on the field of honor! (whacks hippo with glove)
                    Humphrey: ….

I, too, saw the title and thought, ‘Good grief, what dastardly lout is going around killing hippos in zoos now?’ You may all remember the national zoo in D.C. had a smattering of killings of red pandas and eagles and such a while back. I figured it was a news story like that.

Chuck is very nice to his lion but does chew it a little-usually when getting romantic with the lion.
