  Hello there!
  
  I currently have a lion head rabbit, he is a male and is currently 5 months old. I’ve had him since April and I am a new rabbit owner but I’ve been learning a lot from him lately. I’ve read up a lot on rabbits before I got a rabbit because I wanted to make sure that I knew what I was getting myself into. I really want to get him a companion but I am not sure what I should do.
  
  I got Yogi from a family friend, their rabbits had babies, note that they have two different breeds.
  
  The one liter is where I got Yogi from I am just not sure if he would remember his brother or sister if I got them. I am afraid he would not recognize them and not get along.
  
  They have another litter where it is dwarf lion head rabbits mixed, they are half the size of Yogi, and he is a full grown lion head. I am just not sure since they are smaller. I don’t know how Yogi would react to a female or male dwarf.
  
  I want to know more information on how they can bond better and if I do end up getting a female I will spay and neuter them, but the closest place for me is almost an hour or more. I want to be sure that I go to a place that works with rabbits a lot and can make sure they have a safe procedure.

  Step one will be to get Yogi neutered before introducing him to any rabbits. Being intact will affect their interaction, even if the other rabbit is a baby. It will be an easier process once he is fixed and a month or two has passed so hormones stiill in his system will level out.
  
  That a rabbit is related will not have an impact on how well they will get along. Neither will the breed/breed mix or the size. If yogi has lived with you for a few weeks now, I would say he won’t recognise a sibling. If it is a rabbit from his litter, it is also right in puberty and rabbits that were living together well often start to fight once they reach this stage.
  
  If you have any rabbit rescues near you, you could get an already desexed companion for Yogi after he is also desexed.
