I have a pet bed on my desk and I want my rabbit to sleep on it while I study because it’s cute, how do i let her trust the desk is not dangerous? When i put her on it she freaks out and jumps off.

In the end, it’s better to let our bunnies rest in a way that’ll be comfortable and safe for them. Desks are pretty high up and your bunny might be stressed out from not being on the ground.

I don’t think it’s possible to make a bunny sleep where they don’t want to.  They are very opinionated LOL

In my experience, putting a bunny somewhere usually doesn’t make them feel safe in that area, and each bun has preferences on where they like to sleep. Most bunnies like to sleep in hides or other sheltered places, but some do like to climb up high to get a nice view. If you set it up so she can safely get up and down on her own, she might decide she likes to be there, but she still might not like to sleep there.

Desks are not usually a great place for a bunny, as they have cords and other non-bunny safe things. Lots of members end up trying to find ways to keep their bunnies OFF their desk. 🙂

So true Dana. Bunnies and desks are usually a bad combination. LOL

Perhaps some pet stairs? Honestly though, if your bunny doesn’t want to go up there, you can’t really make them.

What?! I’m a good bunny mom! I cord protected everything beforehand 😙 today on the pet bed i found a bunch of fur on it, she probably jumped up there to explore last night? I put some apples there to encourage her just now, hopefully she will be interested.

If your rabbit panics and falls/jumps off the desk it can get seriously injured, and you will end up with a giant vet bill.

Please don’t try to force your rabbit into a potentially dangerous situation that it’s uncomfortable with.
