How to entertain a bunny at night?

Okay so I’ve had Caesar for over a month now, and he’s pretty chill most of the time. As long as I’m home he’s allowed to roam my room and occasionally the living room. This includes when I’m sleeping. He’s normally fine, but I’ve had a vase of flowers on the nightstand beside my bed and now that he’s noticed them it’s become his life mission to eat them! Last night he continued jumping up onto my bed then jumping up on the nightstand (which would cause things to fall on the floor) in order to get to the flowers. It woke my boyfriend and I up a lot and it was really annoying especially since I had work in the morning. Eventually I moved the flowers out of the room, and even pushed the nightstand away from my bed so he couldn’t jump onto it.

Anyways long story short, I’m just trying to find a way to entertain my rabbit while I’m sleeping. There’s 4 cardboard boxes, a tunnel and some ribbon on the ground for him to play/gnaw on at his leisure. When I first got him I bought him toys and treats but he really didn’t care for any of them so I don’t even really try anymore. Any ideas on relatively quiet things he can play with so I can get a good nights sleep tonight?

So far I’ve tried: 

• a ball
• “apple slice” chew toys
• those food bars that he’s supposed to chew on
• toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls
• hiding treats in the room for him to find
• empty or partially filled plastic water bottles

I was thinking about getting him one of those cardboard box houses (any feedback on those?) and maybe filling it up with shredded paper cause I know he likes to help me spread out his bedding when i clean out his cage.

Try making some homemade toys, or get a interactive toy or treat ball. Baby toys are often a hit, as well as slinkies and plastic lids
Do not use anything that contains seeds or nuts, or baby teether toys with the gel

I was going to buy one, the 3 story tall box. Prices are fair until I got to shipping. $14 is WAY too much to ship a few cardboard boxes. So now I’m thinking about making him one.

Twigs and small branches of apple or willow, esp apple, may be appreciated. Bunnies eat the bark and the gnawing is good for their teeth, + it takes them a while to strip off the bark.

I’ve made a few cardboard houses from boxes for my bunny Yohio, he likes to do bunstruction-work on them.

Ellis loves cardboard in any shape or style. He’s had an empty wine bottle case since he first moved in with us in May and I wouldn’t dare touch it at this point. It’s his burrow of last resort when he’s feeling very antisocial. He scored big time at Christmas with a lot of brown paper and corrugated cardboard packing pieces (not to mention the wrapping paper). He couldn’t care less about bunny and baby toys. Goes nuts for wild rose vines (they have very tiny thorns, which don’t seem to bother him) and has recently discovered fresh willow and hawthorn. He seems happiest with things to chew on and prefers cheap to free, so we’re in pretty good shape there.

Also, his domain is downstairs and he seems to settle after we all go up to bed and turn the lights down. I’ve only heard him a couple of times binking in the cage, so I think he’s learned that when we go up it’s time for more napping for him. His active times seem to be late morning, 9am-noon, and late evening, maybe 8 or 9pm until we go up to bed, which can be any time from 11pm-2am.
