        Hi everybun!
I hope my question fits here because I wasn’t sure where else to post it. My husband and I are moving in a couple months and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience tacking furring strips or vinyl onto baseboards to bunny proof? I was looking on YouTube and searching around and I haven’t had any luck with finding a video yet.
We just got our boys, but I can tell one of them loves to chew as most bunnies do. Lol the other seems to have no interest in furniture or anything at all…. yet. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

What kind of baseboards? I’ve had some luck covering ours (which jutt out somewhat) with adhesive plastic corner guards. They sell these at most hardware stores and the adhesive is made so it will not peel off paint.

If they’re not very large baseboards, I’ve seen people build a NIC grid fence around problem areas

Thabk you so much for your reply!
They aren’t very large. Actually maybe only two inches high. I want to try the NIC grid method first, but I also feel like my boy Chewie will find a way. Lol He cracks me up, yesterday he tried to sink his teeth into the wall.

Would you mind sharing a photo of your baseboards with the corner covers? I’ve never heard of this method!

It’s a bit hard to see them on my baseboards, since they’re adhesive. Here’s a link to the amazon product that is very similar!

I’ll try to post a pic tomorrow when the lighting is better here.

These work well for my relatively non-chewey bunny, but wouldn’t do anything to protect a wall XD

ThorBunny, I did a minor edit to your post to make that link clickable.
I like those clear guards. Haven’t seen something like that in stores here but we have Amazon now, so I might have to investigate further.

bumpkin93, here’s a link to an older thread that had a few ideas and pictures. Just take care not to reply in the old thread though!

I definitely think the clear guards like ThorBunny said would be best and wouldn’t look too terrible.. If you’re crafty, you could make something with Plexi Glass, its very cheap and not too time consuming if you have the right tools. Good luck!
