         Hi,

Midnight(my Bunny) is pretty smart, at least for a rabbit.

When we first got him we didn’t really know what to buy so we just purchased one of the small animal fences.

He has jumped over it ever since we got it.

And now we moved it to a small section of our house that has slippery tile.(to keep him cool)

He has tried to jump over it already and I am kind of scared that he is going to jump over not expect the slippery tile and slip and possibly injure himself.

I am just wondering if anybody knows where to buy a higher fence that isn’t like $50.

So if you have any ideas or suggestions please reply.

How high is your fence now?

             It’s only about a foot.

But we did make him a fence more for outdoor use that was about 2 feet tall,

and ofcourse he jumped up onto it, then he jumped down.

So we really don’t know where to find one.

The pet store dog fences are about $60-$70.

And we just thought that we could probably find a cheeper one somewhere else.

Amazon sells 32in for about 40-50 bucks, if you have Prime its free shipping. 1-2 feet is definitely too short, 3 feet is sometimes even too short. Its worth forking over the money for.
You can also check craigslist or freecycle near you, just remember to be safe about it.

I think 3 feet is a good height for bunnies, unless you have jumpers.

I bought my first x-pen from Craigslist. Found it to be cheaper. It was 36 inches (3 feet). My Bighead had no problem jumping over that. (Over and over and over again….He must have thought it was some sort of jumping beam practice.)

My second x-pen was 42 inches. We don’t use it anymore, except to protect the baseboard around the room, but he couldn’t jump over that.

You can also try second-hand stores for very cheap carpeting so Midnight won’t slip and injure himself. (Assuming he doesn’t chew on carpet and that’s it is a low-pile carpet.)

                   Thanks I’ll look into that.
