This whole thing is basically a rant..
I recently visited my cousins house, and she has four rabbits. While I was there, I saw that all of the rabbits were kept outside in the hutches that are too small, and have wire bottoms. All four of them are kept together, they are all males, and none of them are neutered. One is a Flemish giant, another is a Netherland dwarf, there’s a holland lop, and a black mix rabbit. There main diet consists of pellets and carrots.
Short story as well:
While I was there, both the Netherland dwarf and the black rabbit escaped. We managed to easily catch the Netherland, but the black rabbit ran into the road and almost got run over! My younger cousin tackled the bunny to catch it. The whole thing was a nightmare, and it was horrible to watch the rabbits being so mistreated.
Along with the Netherland and the black bunny getting out, the holland lop has an infection on his eye, that I attempted to clean up, but it still looks pretty bad.
On top of all of that, none of them look groomed, they have burrs and seeds all stuck in there fur, there nails aren’t trimmed, the four unneutured male rabbits got into several fights, and they had access to nibbling on styrofoam!
I hate seeing rabbits mistreated in such a way, and I think if you can’t properly research rabbits and how to care for them, you don’t deserve to own any.
