I’m very paranoid when it comes to my pets’ diets. I’ve bought groceries for myself in the liquidation store before (gross, but money was NOT good at the time) and skimped on other things so I could continue feeding all my pets the premium stuff. With my bunny, I’ve always been VERY weary of carrots and fruit. I avoid other starchy or sugar items altogether. But I wonder if I’m being a bit too paranoid, and maybe after 6 years I can loosen up a bit
I’m just curious as to how much fruit/carrot your bunny gets per week, his/her age, and any health problems you have run into in the past.
Moxie gets tons of greens with lots of variety. He loves his kale. I give him a small piece of fruit – thin slice of banana, small peeled slice of apple – once or twice a week as a treat. He also gets a small amount of carrot each week – one baby carrot of the equivalent about two-three times a week. Am I ripping him off?
