  I think you’d only worm them if they are around the outdoors but I’m not sure?
  
  To be honest, as far as I’ve seen in Canada, there are no vaccinations needed (or recommended or that I can get my hands on) no deworming for bunnies available… UK seems to be where all the good bunny stuff comes out first!

  We have to vacc against vhd ,myxi,worm for ec and so on,i wish i lived where there was no risk of myxi as its a big risk even thoe you vacc.

  Yes, no vaccinations in the US either and no worming meds unless needed – we don’t use it as a prophylactic in the US.

  i didn’t think there was a risk of myxi in indoor rabbits. we don’t vaccinate against anything. i think in Australia they vaccinate too.

  They don’t have the vaccination in Australia. The disease was man made there to help eradicate the over-population of wild rabbits, though it is a really horrid way to die. I feel sorry for Australians who keep rabbits as pets and have no way of vaccinating against it. 🙁
  It doesn’t make a difference whether the buns are indoor or out, as the disease is transmitted via biting insects – primarily fleas and mosquitos.
  
  Also worms aren’t really that much of a problem in the UK either. Occassionally they can pick up pinworms from grass/hay but it isn’t as common as people think, so regular worming isn’t always recommended. Because I have multiple bunnies I worm as a preventative measure against EC, not so much for the worry of worms…..although Phoebe came to me having pinworm and it wasn’t nice 🙁 She was the first and only bun in 16 years of having rabbits that has ever had worms.
  
  UK vets are getting better as far as treating rabbits are concerned but there aren’t a lot of licensed meds for them. It seems that in the States you have far more aggressive and effective ways of treating certain things…i.e abscesses. Most vets here would want to pts straight away.
